SARAH PALIN: SUDDENLY...(7 MONTHS) PREGNANT!

HOW THIS NEGLIGENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE
WOMAN CAN BE THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

JUNEAU -- Gov. Sarah Palin shocked and awed just about everybody around the Capitol on Wednesday when she announced she's expecting her fifth child.
The governor, who recently turned 44, told a handful of reporters as she was leaving work to expect a new member of the first family, then headed to a reception at the Baranof Hotel to feast on king crab.
Palin said she's already about seven months along, with the baby due to arrive in mid-May.
That the pregnancy is so advanced astonished all who heard the news. The governor, a runner who's always been trim, simply doesn't look pregnant.
Even close members of her staff said they only learned this week their boss was expecting.
MORE ON PALIN'S FAKE PREGNANCY.
SHE COVERED UP FOR HER 16 YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER.
From Daily Kos (a parent writes):
But if she knew ahead of time
that Trig had Down's Syndrome, why didn't she go to the hospital when she started to leak amniotic fluid at the Governor's meeting a month before she was due? Why would she wait several hours while she gave her keynote speech (not go to a hospital) and then fly 8 hours (and not go to a hospital) and then drive 45 minutes to deliver at the small rural community hospital? Does that sound like the actions of a responsible, concerned mother?
ANOTHER DAILY KOS BLOGGER AND PARENT SAYS...
for me as far as how qualified she is (she's not in any case), but I think this smacks of the dark ages when parents hid their pregnant daughters away and tried to pass the baby off as a cousin's baby or something. I think it seems pretty obvious what happened; her daughter didn't tell her until she was far enough long to hide it that she was pregnant, hence Palin's "late" announcement to the press and the fact that she couldn't suddenly make herself look 6 months pregnant. Further, the daughter probably didn't know her actually date of conception, which is why Palin was traveling at the time her daughter went into labor--imagining she had plenty of time. No way would a doctor let a woman whose water broke fly--especially one who already had 4 kids--back to Alaska. In general, the more kids you've had, the faster your labor will go. I can't even believe other people bought the story, particularly when her daughter missed "months" of school with mono.
