GEORGE PAPANDREOU, THE MAN WHO DESTROYED GREECE, LECTURES COLUMBIA STUDENTS HOW (NOT) TO SAVE A COUNTRY

George Papandreou, the former Socialist prime minister who was at the helm when Greece’s economic ship smashed on the rocks of fiscal ruin, has landed a job at Columbia University teaching, of all things, how to govern financial crisis.

The Ivy League school announced the move with great fanfare last month, calling Greece a “living laboratory” for key global public policy challenges. Papandreou, who led Greece from October 2009 through November 2011, is teaching a course on the European financial crisis and will host a lecture Wednesday on “Bailouts and Ballots: The New Challenges to Democracy and the Case of Europe.”

Bringing in the man who led Greece when its economy cratered — and then went begging for bailouts — had some critics second-guessing the Manhattan school. Well before taking office, Papandreou, whose father and grandfather were also prime ministers, was also a top leader of the Socialist party whose policies led to Greece's metastacizing financial problems.

UPDATE, 12:38 PM: Hours after being detained at LAX last night, Oscar nominated director Emad Burnat has now spoken out for himself about what happened. “Ours was a very minor example of what my people face every day,” the Palestinian filmmaker says of his and his family’s experience with U.S. Customs officials Tuesday night. Fellow documentarian Michael Moore took to Twitter in protest last night after the director texted him when officials took the filmmaker, his wife and son into a holding area to find out why they were entering the country. Burnat, who is up for an Academy Award this weekend for his co-directing efforts on 5 Broken Cameras, was threatened with being refused entry but eventually allowed into the U.S. after being held for an hour and a half. Los Angeles, CA – February 20, 2013 - “Last night, on my way from Turkey to Los Angeles, CA, my family and I were held at US immigration for about an hour and questioned about the purpose of my visit to the United States. Immigration officials asked for proof that I was nominated for an Academy Award® for the documentary 5 BROKEN CAMERAS and they told me that if I couldn’t prove the reason for my visit, my wife Soraya, my son Gibreel and I would be sent back to Turkey on the same day. Although this was an unpleasant experience, this is a daily occurrence for Palestinians, every single day, throughout he West Bank. PREVIOUSLY, 10:01 PM: Michael Moore took on U.S. Customs last night and helped get a fellow filmmaker into the country for Sunday’s Oscars. The Academy Award winning documentarian went on a Twitter tirade late Tuesday as Oscar nominated director Emad Burnat was detained along with his family by officials when he arrived at LAX from Turkey. “This all just happened tonight, a few hours ago. He was certain they were going to deport him. But not if I had anything to do about it,” Moore wrote. This is not the first time Burnat, the co-director of the Sundance winning doc 5 Broken Cameras, has been in America. This time he was arriving for this weekend’s Oscar ceremony when customs hauled him, his wife and their 8-year old son in for questioning on why he was in the States. “Although he produced the Oscar invite nominees receive, that wasn’t good enough & he was threatened with being sent back to Palestine,” tweeted Moore, who is a governor on the Academy’s Documentary branch. Burnet had texted Moore soon after being placed in the holding area. “I called Academy officials who called lawyers. I told Emad to give the officers my phone # and to say my name a couple of times,” added Moore last night. “After 1.5 hrs, they decided to release him & his family & told him he could stay in LA for the week & go to the Oscars. Welcome to America,” the Fahrenheit 911 director said. An insider tells me that the Academy had nothing to do with getting Burnat released from customs. “He was out before anyone had a chance to do anything,” they said. For Burnat, the welcome reminded him of home according to Moore.‘It’s nothing I’m not already used to,’ he told me later. ‘When u live under occupation, with no rights, this is a daily occurrence,’ “ Moore said online Burnat said to him after leaving LAX. Contacted by Deadline, U.S. Customs and Immigration said they had no comment on the incident. A former farmer, Burnat is the first Palestinian ever nominated for an Oscar for a documentary. Israeli officials have said that "5 Broken Cameras" is one of two Israeli documentaries up for an Oscar on Sunday ("The Gatekeepers" being the other), but the origin country of Burnat's film has been a source of controversy throughout awards season. ("5 Broken Cameras" is a co-production of Israel, Palestine and France.)

"I'm Israeli, Emad is Palestinian, personally I don't think films should have citizenships," co-director Guy Davidi told The Electronic Intifada back in January.

"This is a Palestinian film from the heart, from the mind and from the soul," Burnat said to HuffPost Live earlier this month about the film. "This is a Palestinian documentary."

• ΜΕΤΡΑ: Στο πρώτο μνημόνιο, τον Μάιο του 2010, οι δανειστές προέβλεπαν ότι χρειάζονταν μέτρα ύψους 25,5 δισ. ευρώ μέχρι το τέλος του 2013. Μέχρι σήμερα, όμως, συμπεριλαμβανομένων και αυτών του τρέχοντος έτους, έχουν ληφθεί μέτρα -περικοπές μισθών, συντάξεων, επιδομάτων και αύξηση φόρων- ύψους 59 δισ. ευρώ. Και ακόμη δεν έχει κλείσει ο λογαριασμός. Η τελευταία επικαιροποίηση του μνημονίου αναφέρει ότι απαιτούνται επιπλέον μέτρα 2 έως 4 δισ. ευρώ για τη διετία 2015-2016, ενώ εάν υπάρξουν αποκλίσεις από τους στόχους θα ζητηθούν και επιπλέον μέτρα για τα έτη 2013-2014.

• ΥΦΕΣΗ: Στο κείμενο του πρώτου μνημονίου προβλεπόταν ότι τα μέτρα δημοσιονομικής προσαρμογής θα βύθιζαν στην ύφεση την ελληνική οικονομία για δύο μόνον χρόνια. Ειδικότερα, η τρόικα προέβλεπε ύφεση 4% και 2,5% το 2010 και το 2011 αντίστοιχα και επιστροφή της οικονομίας σε τροχιά ανάπτυξης το 2012, με 1,1% ρυθμό αύξησης του ΑΕΠ. Εναν χρόνο μετά την υπογραφή του πρώτου μνημονίου, τον Ιούλιο του 2011, οι προβλέψεις αναθεωρήθηκαν επί τα χείρω. Στο μεσοπρόθεσμο δημοσιονομικό πλαίσιο για την περίοδο 2012-2015 που παρουσιάστηκε προβλεπόταν αρνητικός ρυθμός ανάπτυξης 1,2% το 2012 και επιστροφή σε τροχιά ανάπτυξης, με ρυθμό αύξησης του ΑΕΠ 1,1% το 2013. Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία που έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα η ΕΛΣΤΑΤ πριν από μερικές ημέρες, το ελληνικό ΑΕΠ τελικά συρρικνώθηκε κατά 6,5% το 2012, ενώ προβλέπεται περαιτέρω συρρίκνωση κατά 4,5% το 2013 και επιστροφή σε αναιμικούς ρυθμούς ανάπτυξης, 0,2%, το 2014. 

• ΑΝΕΡΓΙΑ: Εκτός πραγματικότητας ήταν και οι προβλέψεις της Κομισιόν και του ΔΝΤ για την εξέλιξη της ανεργίας. Με βάση το μεσοπρόθεσμο πρόγραμμα 2012-2015 προβλεπόταν αύξηση των ανέργων μέχρι και το 2012 και στη συνέχεια αντιστροφή της τάσης και μείωση της ανεργίας. Ειδικότερα, για το 2011 προβλεπόταν ποσοστό ανεργίας 14,5%, το 2012 15% και το 2013 14,5%. Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία της ΕΛΣΤΑΤ, το ποσοστό της ανεργίας στο τέλος Νοεμβρίου 2012 ήταν 27%, με 1.350.181 ανέργους, ενώ το ΚΕΠΕ προβλέπει εκτίναξη της ανεργίας στο 30% το 2013.

• ΧΡΕΟΣ: Το πρώτο μνημόνιο προέβλεπε ότι το 2012 το χρέος θα διαμορφωνόταν στο 149% του ΑΕΠ. Βρίσκεται όμως ήδη, μετά από ένα «κούρεμα» και μια επαναγορά, στο 175%. 

• ΜΙΣΘΟΙ: Στο πρώτο μνημόνιο του 2010 αναφερόταν ότι δεν ήταν απαραίτητη η μείωση των μισθών του ιδιωτικού τομέα και η τρόικα πρότεινε το πάγωμά τους για μία τριετία. Μέχρι σήμερα οι μισθοί έχουν μειωθεί 30% κατά μέσο όρο.  (...)

He developed the procedure for 1959's Ben-Hur and then went on to win an Oscar in 1964 after creating a related process for Disney's Mary Poppins.

The death of the 96-year-old was announced by the company he founded, Ultimatte.

His innovations continue to be used and developed by the television, film, computer games and advertising industries.

"Our industry has lost a giant," Everett Burrell, senior visual effects supervisor at Los Angeles-based studio Look Effects. told the BBC.

(...) Third, there has been explosive growth in soup kitchens and general food distribution. The levels are not officially recorded, but the Church of Greece distributes approximately 250,000 daily rations, while there are unknown numbers of rations distributed by municipal authorities and NGOs. By recent government order, municipal rations will be expanded further because of rising incidence of children fainting at school due to low calorie intake. There will also be light meals provided to young students.

 The evidence of poverty, inequality, and inability to access primary services confirms the increasingly desperate statements by people at the frontline. The country has become a field of humanitarian action, and should be treated as such. It is shameful for the Greek government and the EU to turn a blind eye to it. The international humanitarian community should respond with urgency.

GREEK POLICE NEEDS TO STOP TORTURE PRACTICES

A new hybrid of cop is breeding in Greece, and the Southeast Mediterranean: Full time Golden Dawn Neo-nazi party supporter, hyperactive executioner, arrogant torturer, part time-amateur photoshopper …. these are the geniuses of the IMF-sanctioned coalition government, the Inspectors Clouzot of Greek Police. ..After policemen connected to the Neonazi party of Golden Dawn tortured and beaten fifteen peaceful protesters participating in an anti-racist, anti-semitic rally, four youngsters arrested Saturday in a bank robbery going wrong in Northern Greece were handcuffed, and were individually tortured and beaten in separate rooms for many hours by four masked policemen asked to repeat their fist and last name over and over again.

Even from the miserably police-photoshopped released mug-shots the punches, bruises and kicks are obvious....(see photos in the blogpost below). The photos are amateurishly photoshopped by local police in Northern Greece). The local DA refused medical attention and care to the arrested for the last 48 hours.

After many years, thanks to the heroic efforts of a just ONE judge and his team , 49 persons are indicted for the Greek Stock Market Scandal mainly for “white collar” crimes (money laundering, stock manipulation, trading inside information, forging financial statements and documents )...Milions of people lost their fortunes, billions of euros, thanks to the Greek politicians giving the 49 for fifteen years a “carte blanche”.

No photos of these financial terrorists have been released, they never been tortured, or handcuffed, and they are free to go to whatever Banana Republic they wish and re-start a new career in “white collar” crimes.

               ΘΑ ΠΑΡΕΜΒΕΙ Ο ΕΙΣΑΓΓΕΛΕΑΣ;

Η δημοσιοποίηση στην ιστοσελίδα των οργάνων της μνημονιακής Τάξης των φωτογραφιών των τεσσάρων συλληφθέντων για τη διπλή ληστεία στην Κοζάνη, έριξε απλά τις μάσκες της πολύχρωμης μεν, ακροδεξιάς δε κυβέρνησης και ενός συστήματος το οποίο έχει αποφασίσει να εδραιωθεί και έδωσε στον Αντώνη Σαμαρά την άδεια να κυβερνήσει με «σιδερένιο» χέρι.

Τα πολύχρωμα Παπαγαλάκια έσπευσαν να μεταδώσουν την έκτακτη είδηση στο πανελλήνιο με σκοπό να μουδιάσουν ακόμη περισσότερο τα αντανακλαστικά της κοινωνίας και να κόψουν όποια διάθεση για αντίσταση παραμένει έπειτα από τρία χρόνια εξοντωτικής λιτότητας:

Με πρόσωπα παραμορφωμένα και με εμφανή τα σημάδια της άγριας κακοποίησης, οι τέσσερις όπως φαίνεται στις φωτογραφίες με το ζόρι στέκονται όρθιοι, ενώ ο αστυνόμος σαΐνης που επεξεργάστηκε τα παρακάτω ντοκουμέντα έκανε τα πράγματα χειρότερα αλλοιώνοντας με... ερασιτεχνικό τρόπο πολλούς από τους μώλωπες και τα σημάδια .

Με άλλα λόγια έφαγαν το ξύλο της αρκούδας, για να μιλήσουν.

Το γεγονός ότι η ΕΛΑΣ δημοσιεύει η ίδια το τεκμήριο του αδικήματος που διέπραξαν οι «ανακριτές» με κάνει να αναρωτιέμαι δύο πράγματα: 

Αφενός πόσο δείκτη IQ είχε αυτός που έλαβε την απόφαση για να δημοσιευτούν αυτές οι φωτογραφίες και αφετέρου, ο εισαγγελέας ή ο υπουργός Δικαιοσύνης σκοπεύουν να παρέμβουν;

'Η μήπως αυτά τα μικροπράγματα που κάποιοι τα ονομάζουν στοιχειώδη ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα είναι πολυτέλεια για μία μνημονιακή μπανανία όπως η Ελλάδα;

ALEXIS GOES TO WASHINGTON: ΣΤΡΟΦΕΣ ΚΑΙ ΚΥΒΙΣΤΗΣΕΙΣ 360 ΜΟΙΡΩΝ

...Οι "βαθυστόχαστοι" ψευδώνυμοι “αναλυτές” των ελληνόφωνων δημοσιογραφικών σάιτ που “κόβουν” φλέβες μην τυχόν και “...στραβοπατήσει” η “...ανάπτυξη” (βλ. ξεπούλημα όσο-όσο σε όποιον δώσει την μεγαλύτερη μίζα), δεν μπορούν να απαντήσουν, στις εμβριθέστατες και κατατοπιστικότατες αναλύσεις τους, όπου καταπίνουν τα βοθρολύματα του αποχετευτικού αγωγού του Κερατσινίου και διυλίζουν την τρίχα της ουράς του ...”ελέφαντα ΔΝΤ”, στα εξής απλά και βασικότατα ερωτήματα:

1. Πως ο ηγέτης μιάς αξιωματικής αντιπολίτευσης που ΔΕΝ ΟΜΙΛΕΙ αλλά ούτε και γράφει μια διεθνή γλώσσα επικοινωνίας π.χ. Αγγλικά τουλάχιστον, θα ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΗΣΕΙ το -ΑΝΥΠΑΡΚΤΟ μέχρι στιγμής- ΣΧΕΔΙΟ του για να υπάρξει ανάπτυξη και να καταπολεμηθεί η ανεργία του 30% στην Ελλάδα; Πως; ...Mε το Ι does, you did, he don't !!!! Aκόμη και παιδιά οκτώ και δέκα ετών μιλούν και γράφουν στην Ελλάδα σήμερα TOYΛΑΧΙΣΤΟΝ 2 (ΔΥΟ) ξένες γλώσσες σήμερα!!! Σε περίπτωση έκτακτης ανάγκης, καθημερινό φαινόμενο πια στη γενέτειρα, θα χρειασθεί να “ξυπνήσουν” διερμηνέα, ή τη Ρένα Δούρου, να “τρέξει”, για να μιλήσει με τον Ομπάμα, την Mέρκελ, τον Τόμσεν, τον Γιούνκερ, τον Φούχτελ ή τον Mόντι; 'Ελεος!
   
2. Αφού ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και ΝΔ έχουν πια την ίδια ακριβώς (προεκλογική) θέση “...επαναδιαπραγμάτευση των μνημονίων”-η οποία φυσικά ουδέποτε τηρήθηκε από τον σημερινό πρωθυπουργό Αντώνη Σαμαρά, και, βέβαια, ουδείς μας διαβεβαιώνει ότι μετά από τόσες κυβιστήσεις θα τηρηθεί από τον Αλέξη Τσίπρα-γιατί να ψηφίσει κανείς ΣΥΡΙΖΑ; Για να αλλάξουν απλώς τα πρόσωπα; Aφού θα εφαρμόσουν την ίδια ακριβώς πολιτική και, ουσιαστικά, τίποτα δεν θα αλλάξει;
   
3. Πως μπορείς να προδίδεις τις ελπίδες όλων αυτών που ψήφισαν ΣΥΡΙΖΑ στις απανωτές, διπλές εκλογές του 2012, ελπίζοντας να αλλάξει η χώρα προς το καλύτερο, έστω με μια συγκυβέρνηση ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και ΑΝ.ΕΛ, σε τούτο το τόσο εύθραυστο, και πρώιμο, στάδιο; Πως γίνεται ένα κόμμα της, υποτίθεται, ριζοσπαστικής αριστεράς να έχει την ίδια ακριβώς θέση με ένα “κεντροδεξιό”, “....νεοφιλελεύθερο” κόμμα όπως της Νέας Δημοκρατίας του 2012-2013;
4. Πως γίνεται να μιλάς για ανθρωπισμό και για τα δικαιώματα της γυναίκας, και του ανθρώπου γενικότερα, στην ελευθερία, την ακεραιότητα, και την αξιοπρέπεια, και ενάντια στο ρατσισμό, και να μην παίρνεις θέση στην υπόθεση της 15χρονης στη Χρυσή Ακτή της Πάρου που ακόμη χαροπαλεύει και δεν έχει ουσιαστική επαφή με το περιβάλλον; Πως γίνεται ακόμη και, σκληροτράχηλοι μπάτσοι της ΓΑΔΑ να έχουν συγκινηθεί -προς τιμή τους!- και να ψάχνουν εξήντα αστυνομικοί τον δράστη Αυγουστιάτικα κι εσύ να το ...“βουλώνεις”; Και διακοπές πάλι όλοι μαζί πηγαίνετε στο κάμπινγκ του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ; Δεν υπάρχει κάποιος εκπρόσωπος τύπου να πάρει θέση σε ένα τόσο ...“καυτό” κοινωνικό θέμα;
   Ποιά είναι η θέση του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, και της αξιωματικής αντιπολίτευσης, για την 15χρονη Μυρτώ; Η ΣΙΩΠΗ; Eίναι παιδί ενός κατώτερου θεού επειδή οι γονείς της ΔΕΝ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και την κακοποίησε σεξουαλικά και με ιδαίτερα βάναυσο τρόπο παράνομος Πακιστανός μετανάστης;
5. Και με τους νεκρούς της ΜΑΡΦΙΝ τι γίνεται; Ηταν λιγότερο άνθρωποι, ή λιγότερο ΄Ελληνες, επειδή αναγκαστικά εργαζόντουσαν σε τράπεζα για να επιβιώσουν; Που έπρεπε να δουλεύουν; Στην πλατεία Κουμουνδούρου;
6. Πως γίνεται ΝΑ ΜΗΝ ΞΕΡΕΙΣ ότι ΔΕΝ ΚΑΤΑΡΓΗΘΗΚΕ ο 13ος και 14ος μισθός αλλά ότι ουσιαστικά έγινε μια τεράστια “...εσωτερική υποτίμηση 40% και 50%”; Πως θα αλλάξεις έτσι τη ρημαδο-οικονομία πρός το καλύτερο;
   
7. Πως γίνεται η Ελλάδα να καίγεται, τον Αύγουστο και τον Δεκέμβριο του 2012, κι εσύ να πηγαίνεις διακοπές σαν κλασσικός Ελληνάρας λες και ακόμη “...ζείς” στη δεκαετία του '80 και του '90; Ηγέτης της αξιωματικής αντιπολίτευσης είσαι, και η χώρα “...καίγεται!”, καταστρέφεται, ξεπουλιέται, με ποιό δικαίωμα το ξέχασες; Εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες ΄Ελληνες (τo 27%) σε ψήφισαν, σε τίμησαν με την την εμπιστοσύνη τους, ΑΚΡΙΒΩΣ ΓΙΑ ΝΑ ΜΗΝ ΞΕΧΝΑΣ ΚΑΙ ΝΑ ΕΡΓΑΖΕΣΑΙ ΓΙΑ ΤΟ ΚΟΙΝΟ ΚΑΛΟ ΟΛΩΝ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ ΠΡΟΣ ΤΗ ΣΩΣΤΗ ΚΑΤΕΥΘΥΝΣΗ!
8. Πως ακριβώς θα έρθει η ανάπτυξη και θα χτυπηθεί η ανεργία του 30%; Mε στυγνή φορολόγηση των εταιρειών, κυνήγι των επενδυτών και των μικρο-επιχειρηματιών με 36%, 40% φορολόγηση και 23% ΦΠΑ, και αθρόους διορισμούς στο Δημόσιο και τους Δήμους;
9. Aκόμη, το να γίνει ένα “....καινούργιο” σχέδιο Μάρσαλ Νο 2, με “βαρύ αντάλλαγμα” τα πετρέλαια, το φυσικό αέριο, και την...Ακρόπολη, όπου οι “'Ελληνες ολιγάρχες” λέγε με Γιάννα, Σωκράτη κ.α. θα αποκομίσουν κέρδη δισεκατομμυρίων ευρώ, όπως στους χρεωκοπημένους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του 2004, είναι ανεδαφικό, ανέφικτο, και εξαιτίας των δυσεπίλυτων, μέχρι σήμερα, προβλημάτων της διεθνούς οικονομίας, λεκτικό ευφυολόγημα ...αέρα κοπανιστού! Φυσικά, σχέδιο Μάρσαλ Νο 2, σημαίνει “πρόσδεση” (σιδηροδέσμια) και σε άλλο νόμισμα. Ο νοών νοείτο! Αντί να ακολουθηθεί το παράδειγμα της Ισλανδίας, όπου ΔΕΝ ΕΣΚΥΨΑΝ το κεφάλι και αγωνίσθηκαν για την αξιοπρέπεια τους , θα ζητηθούν πάλι ΔΑΝΕΙΚΑ και ΑΓΥΡΙΣΤΑ (όπως στα Μνημόνια 1,2,3) με αντάλλαγμα το ΤΕΛΙΚΟ ΞΕΠΟΥΛΗΜΑ, και τη σύνδεση με άλλο νόμισμα πιθανότατα και σε δυσμενέστερη ισοτιμία από την ήδη υπάρχουσα. (Σ.Σ. Δυο μέρες μετά, το σχέδιο Μάρσαλ εξαφανίσθηκε και στη LE MONDE DIPLOMATIQUE λίγες μέρες μετά η κυρία που του γράφει τα κείμενα μας αποκάλυψε ότι ειδικά για τη Γαλλόφωνη αγορά το μνημόνιο και ΠΑΛΙ αμφισβητείται... Κακόμοιρη Ελλάδα!)

...Ας μην απορούμε μετά για την άνοδο των τουνεοφασιστικού κόμματος των ...κλούβιωναυγών στις δημοσκοπήσεις. Ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ με την ανερμάτιστη πολιτική του πολώνει την κατάσταση ακαι δημιουργεί ένα ΔΙΚΟΜΜΑΤΙΚΟ ΔΙΠΟΛΟ (ΤΡΙΚΟΜΜΑΤΙΚΗ ΚΥΒΕΡΝΗΣΗ-ΧΡΥΣΗ ΑΥΓΗ) που οδηγεί στα χειρότερα. Δηλαδή εμφυλιακό αιματοκύλισμα ή δικτατορία.

Είναι επιτακτική ανάγκη λοιπόν ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ να αποκτήσει μια ΑΛΛΗ ΣΤΡΑΤΗΓΙΚΗ και ΗΓΕΤΙΚΗ ΟΜΑΔΑ για να μπορεί και η Ελλάδα να ελπίζει! Κατεπειγόντως! Χθές!

HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY. SALONICA HOLOCAUST: THE LIBERTY SQUARE POGROM (PHOTOS)

...Salonica, back then, was the epicenter of the Balkans  commerce. A buzzing Sephardic metropolis that became the main target  of  Himler's (read Hitler's)  implementation of the  "Final Solution" ...

,,,Under the false and misleading title "Jews Captured in Salonica" (similar to "...animals, or elephants, or tigers,  captured on an African expedition", but, still not considerd human beings 

in 2012 since this is first and foremost "...a human safari based on race and religion"), the German State Archives has photos from the very beginning of Salonica's Holocaust and the implementation of Himler's Final Solution

The  German state also claims copyright ownership over the photos  and that this is an "...intellectual property!!!!!" of the contemporary German state of chancellor's Angela Merckel dystopian society of Shylocks and extortionists (once a Nazi, always a Nazi!)... 

The US Supreme Court and many European courts had ruled that is illegal from a  killer, or a mass murderer, to derive income, revenues, profits, or royalties the exploitation of the criminal activities, suffering, abuse, torture, and death of his victims. 

In this case German army photographers (soldiers) forced  Jewish inmates against their will to get photographed before transported to "concentration" (read DEATH) camps like Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland.

I dedicate this blogpost to the heroes and martyrs of Shoah (Holocaust).

Greek Jews are forced to perform "exercises" , so the Nazis, and their local neofasiscts collaborators can decide on their physical  fitness and capabilities.  Kept without food and water under the hot sun of July 1942, many hours  in Salonica's Liberty Square,  they were later  transported with overpacked cattle trains, without food and water,  to termination camps. 

The Nazi SS, and their death squads, Waffen SS, were judged a criminal organization by the Nuremberg Tribunal (November 20, 1945 to October 1, 1946). 
According to the U.S. Holocaust Museum a total of 405.222 prisoners were registered at the camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau alone, but those who were sent directly to the gas chambers upon arrival were never registered. Over 6.000.000 European Jews perished through the Holocaust (from January 30, 1933, when Hitler became Chancellor of Germany, to May 8, 1945). Out of the 54.000 Salonica Jews that were deported to the extermination camps, only 1.950 survived.
