KOSTAS VAXEVANIS: THE BICYCLE OF GREEK DEMOCRACY IS BROKEN.

Greek oligarchs are corrupted to the bone and would certainly make Tony Montana of "SCARFACE" and Don Vitto Corleone, the mafia patriach of "GODAFATHER" , look like old-fashioned 2d Saturday matinee cartoons and ultimately colorless and pale by financial numbers comparison. Before they call it quits they would turn the country that invented democracy, poetry, literature, philosophy, medicine among others, into a bloody mayhem of chaos, dust, ashes, death and pre-planned "intenal" confrontations and conflicts, with the help of Neonazi party "GOLDEN DAWN" financed by Greek shipping magnates. ...DEMOCRACY is like a bicycle: if you don’t keep pedaling, you fall. Unfortunately, the bicycle of Greek democracy has long been broken. After the military junta collapsed in 1974, Greece created only a hybrid, diluted form of democracy. You can vote, belong to a party and protest. In essence, however, a small clique exercises all meaningful political power.

For all that has been said about the Greek crisis, much has been left unsaid. The crisis has become a battleground of interests and ideologies. At stake is the role of the public sector and the welfare state. Yes, in Greece we have a dysfunctional public sector; for the past 40 years the ruling parties handed out government jobs to their supporters, regardless of their qualifications.

But the real problem with the public sector is the tiny elite of business people who live off the Greek state while passing themselves off as “entrepreneurs.” They bribe politicians to get fat government contracts, usually at inflated prices. They also own many of the country’s media outlets, and thus manage to ensure that their actions are clothed in silence. Sometimes they’ll even buy a soccer team in order to drum up popular support and shield their crimes behind popular protection, as the drug lord Pablo Escobar did in Colombia, and as the paramilitary leader Arkan did in Serbia.

       Αθανασάκης-Λαυρεντιάδης-Ασημακόπουλος. Στο ΠΑΣΟΚ οι ηθικοί και ακέραιοι

Σύμφωνα με την iefimerida, συνεργάτης του Λαυρεντιάδη, που η διεφθαρμένη τρικομματική κυβέρνηση θέλει να ξεχάσουμε τάχιστα, ρίχοντας στην “πυρά” τον Παπακωνσταντίνου, αλλά όχι και τους Βενιζέλο-Παπανδρέου, είναι ο-έμπορος οπλικών συστημάτων- σήμερα Θόδωρος Ασημακόπουλος.

Ο Ασημακόπουλος, όπως και ο “...διακεκριμένος” οικονομολόγος Μπαρουφάκης είναι “πιόνια”, στη σκακιέρα της συστημικής διαφθοράς, και “προστατευόμενοι” της οικογένειας Παπανδρέου.

....Ο Ασημακόπουλος το 1993, ήταν “παραγωγός” με την εταιρεία THEASSIS, μαζί με τον Γρηγόρη Βαλλιανάτο, παντοτινό σύμβουλο του ΓΑΠ, των τηλεοπτικών σώου “FANTASTICO” με τους Κατερίνα Λέχου και Σπύρο Παπαδόπουλο στον ANT-1, των “ΔΙΚΗΓΟΡΩΝ ΤΗΣ ΑΘΗΝΑΣ” στο STAR CHANNEL και του “ΚΑΙΤΗ ΓΚΡΕΥ, ΣΑΝ ΠΑΡΑΜΥΘΙ”. Το πρώτο σταμάτησε λόγω χαμηλής θεαματικότητας, στο δεύτερο διεκόπη η προβολή του, κι ευτυχώς, με την έλευση του Πέτρου Κωστόπουλου στη διεύθυνση του καναλιού !!!!, και το τρίτο δεν προβλήθηκε ποτέ. Η αιτία: H THΕASIS “πτώχευσε”! 12,5 εκατομμύρια δρχ. Το επεισόδιο έδινε τότε ο ΑΝΤ-1 για το επεισόδιο, ποσό μεγάλο για το 1993, 25 εκατομμύρια δρχ. κόστιζε στούς φωστήρες της Theasis το επεισόδιο με την ανοργανωσιά και την ανευθυνότητα που τους έδερνε.

....Στη συνέχεια ο Ασημακόπουλος έπραξε τάχιστα το αναμενόμενο για μέλος του ΠΑΣΟΚ. “Γέμισε” με ακάλυπτες επιταγές τα στελέχη της σειράς από τον διευθυντή παραγωγής Χάρη Κοντορουχά, μέχρι τον διευθυντή φωτογραφίας Λάκη Κυρλίδη και τη Βάνα Μπάρμπα, τα γυρίσματα κατασχέθηκαν από τον απλήρωτο Προκόπη Μπουρνάζο που μόνταρε το σήριαλ, “τινάζοντας” τους στον αέρα, και η σειρά, που ομολογουμένως ήταν εξαιρετική και γυρισμένη με κινηματογραφικές προδιαγραφές δεν βγήκε ποτέ. ΠΟΤΕ!!!!!!

΄Ηταν η εποχή που η Καίτη Γκρέυ μεσουρανούσε, μια και είχε μόλις κάνει τη θριαμβευτική επάνοδο της, με την επιτυχία των ΕΚΕΙΝΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΕΚΕΙΝΟΣ “Μια γυναίκα μόνο ξέρει να σου πει”, η Βάνα Μπάρμπα γνώριζε τη διεθνή αποθέωση στην ακμή της καριέρας της, αμέσως μετά το βραβευμένο με 'Οσκαρ Kαλύτερης Ξενόγλωσσης Ταινίας “Mediterraneo”, και ο ανεκδιήγητος Κώστας Φέρρης που συνελήφθη το 2011 στην Νεα Σμύρνη από την Οικονομική Αστυνομία για χρέη στο Δημόσιο άνω των 120.000 ευρώ, ερχόταν στο γύρισμα, στην Γεωργική Σχολή Αναβρύτων, στις 2.30 το μεσημέρι, αντί για τις 9 το πρωί που ήταν το όρντινο, για να συζητήσει με την μακαρίτισα μοντέρ Γιάννα Σπυρόπουλου με πόσες ζάχαρες και πόσα ''τσιγαριλίκια” έπινε τον καφέ του ο Γκοντάρ στα γραφικά καφέ της Μονμάρτης στο Παρίσι (...)

Στο ΠΑΣΟΚ όμως, το κόμμα που κατέστρεψε και ξεπούλησε την Ελλάδα, την πατρίδα μου, τα...”μεγάλα ταλέντα” και οι “ηθικά ακέραιοι” ποτέ δεν χάνονται. Με τη βοήθεια του Ακη, ο Ασημακόπουλος, και ευγενή συνοδεία ...χορωδίας “φουσκωτών μπράβων”, ασχολήθηκε στη συνέχεια με τις προμήθειες του ΟΣΕ, μετά με την προμήθεια αμυντικών εξοπλισμών και τη σεζόν 2010-2011 με την PROTON BANK ως μέλος του Δ.Σ. και με το να “πλασάρει” τον Λαυρεντιάδη στο ΠΑΣΟΚ.

(Προσωπικά “πολέμησα” τον Ασημακόπουλο στα δικαστήρια παρόλες τις απειλές, κέρδισα τη δίκη, και πληρώθηκα στο ακέραιο πρίν “πτωχεύσει” η εταιρεία. Ολοι οι άλλοι επέλεξαν να κλάψουν την μοίρα τους. Εγώ πάλι όχι. Και, ναι, ήμουν ο σεναριογράφος του “ΚΑΙΤΗ ΓΚΡΕΥ: ΣΑΝ ΠΑΡΑΜΥΘΙ”).

(...) Χρηματοδότης του ΠΑΣΟΚ
Είναι γνωστό στους παροικούντες ότι στις εκλογές του 2009 ο κ. Λαυρεντιάδης, ο οποίος παραδοσιακά διατηρούσε κάλες σχέσεις με τη Ν.Δ., υπήρξε ο βασικός χρηματοδότης της προεκλογικής καμπάνιας του ΠΑΣΟΚ, καλύπτοντας όπως λένε οι φήμες το 80% των προεκλογικών εξόδων του σημερινού κυβερνώντος κόμματος. Ακόμη λέγεται ότι διατηρούσε έως το 2010 εξαιρετικές σχέσεις με τον τότε υπουργό Επικρατείας Χάρη Παμπούκη, τον σημερινό διοικητή του ΙΚΑ Ροβέρτο Σπυρόπουλο και τον σύμβουλο του Γιώργου Παπανδρέου, Νίκο Αθανασάκη.

Είναι μάλιστα αξιομνημόνευτη η εκδήλωση που διοργάνωσε τον Ιανουάριο του 2010 στην Αίγλη του Ζαππείου ο Λεωνίδας Κύρκος για να ζητήσει τη σύγκλιση των δυνάμεων της αριστεράς με τα κόμματα του δημοκρατικού σοσιαλισμού. Η παρουσία του πρωθυπουργού μπορεί να έκλεψε την παράσταση αλλά οι προσεκτικοί παρατηρητές σημείωσαν την άνεση με την οποία κινήθηκε ο κ. Λαυρεντιάδης ανάμεσα στα μέλη μιας συγκέντρωσης η οποία φαινομενικά δεν θα του ταίριαζε. Ισως βοηθούσε και το γεγονός ότι ένας εκ των στενότερων φίλων και συνεργατών του κ. Κύρκου, ο Θεόδωρος Ασημακόπουλος αποτελούσε και συνεργάτη του κ. Λαυρεντιάδη στη διοίκηση της Proton Bank. Παλαιότερα δε υπήρξε άτυπος σύμβουλος του Γιώργου Παπανδρέου στο υπουργείο Παιδείας λόγω και των στενών σχέσεων που διατηρούσε ο σημερινός πρωθυπουργός με τον Γρηγόρη Βαλλιανάτο με τον οποίο ο κ. Ασημακόπουλος είχε από κοινού την εταιρεία τηλεοπτικών παραγωγών Theassis. Οπως λένε οι φήμες ο Λαυρέντης Λαυρεντιάδης ήταν μέσω του  κ. Ασημακόπουλου ο οργανωτής και χορηγός της βραδυάς. 

Οι σχέσεις με το ΠΑΣΟΚ ατόνησαν όταν ο επιχειρηματίας άρχισε σταδιακά να αποσύρεται από το προσκήνιο αφού στο μεταξύ είχε ασκήσει πιέσεις στο πολιτικό σύστημα για να διασφαλίσει αντιπαροχές για την προεκλογική του στήριξη.

MEGAN ELLISON CHANGED INTERNATIONAL CINEMATIC LANDSCAPE IN 2012. ANNAPURNA PRODUCTIONS, THE "MOTHER THAT FEEDS" THE SEVENTH ART....

In 2012, thanks to the films she financed, from "MASTER to "THE GRANDMASTERS" , from "KILLING THEM SOFTLY" to "ZERO DARK THIRTY"  and countless others- the majority of them would never had been made without her- Megan Ellison changed, for the better, the arteriosclerotic and ultimately boring, formulaic and archaic, Hollywood film production system.  No trust fund spoiled kid Elisson became the patron saint of the Film Art in 2012 demonstrating excellent taste, combining sensitivity with very refined gusto and a shockingly low profile. 

(...)  It’s true that The Master and Killing Them Softly didn’t deliver financially, but they did so artistically, and her slate (led by Zero Dark Thirty) is canvasing awards season. It would be a shame to judge her output by the bottom line, but even on that front, there’s a solid chance of her success through diversity and prestige. She’s placed her money where her faith is, and from the look of it, it’s going to pay off. That most likely baffles the more conservative-minded of the establishment. Yet another reason to start cutting up ticker tape for the young producer.

Living in Dreams

Little is known about her as she avoids interviews. Her twitter feed is a back-and-forth of positive press for her films and inspirational quotations from filmmakers like Charlie Chaplin (“Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself”) and renowned thinkers like Alfred Lord Tennyson (“Dreams are true while they last, and do we not live in dreams?”). It’s easy to focus on the romanticism of her reclusive nature, but her true contributions this year have been far more concrete.  Her emergence this year is powerful because she, instead of falling on her face, has succeeded in financing some creatively daring work that’s gained interest and is about to pick up a lot of gold. She’s certainly not alone, but she’s undeniably the catalyst for an industry disrupting model — using her wealth to protect the arts in a bold, unique, intimate way. Giving money to projects that others won’t.

Beyond that, she represents a great promise for future work. Annapurna is currently prepping Dominik’s Naomi Watts-starring Marilyn Monroe picture Blonde, and David O. Russell’s Abscam/FBI sting movie; they’re filming Moneyball director Bennett Miller‘s next; and they’re in post on new work from Spike Jonze while preparing to distribute Wong Kar Wai’s long-anticipated Ip Man movieThe Grandmaster.

Add to that pile:

• The remake of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance
• Two Chris Milk dramas
• A new Seth Rogen/Evan Goldberg/Jonah Hill comedy
• Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice collaboration with Robert Downey, Jr.
• Paul Greengrass’ Julian Assange/Wikileaks movie
• The resurrected Terminator franchise

and you get an idea of where the future of Annapurna is headed. More money to dramas with a heady mix of commercially safe fare (including a potential tentpole).

With all great experiments, there is a risk of failure. Megan Ellison knows that because Charlie Chaplin knew it. She’s entered into the most expensive art form with gusto, a comically large checkbook and good taste. There’s an opportunity here. It might be a fleeting one, and the fates may have to be bribed to let it be grasped, but after proving her salt in 2012, Ellison is poised to build a new production empire using the bricks discarded by established houses that could use some renovation. She is a lung-full of fresh air who has delivered reels to fans instead of empty developmental promises.

So if you’re glad you got new movies from Dominik, Bigelow and Hillcoat; if you’re beside yourself that The Master is a real thing that you can watch as often as you like; if you’re excited to see more auteur work with a dash of naked time-traveling robots, please raise a glass with me in thanking and celebrating Megan Ellison, our 2012 Filmmaker of the Year.

O πρώην υπουργός Οικονομικών της κυβέρνησης του ΠΑΣΟΚ, Γιώργος Παπακωνσταντίνου, είναι αυτός που αφαίρεσε από τη λίστα Λαγκάρντ τα ονόματα τριών συγγενικών του προσώπων με καταθέσεις στην HSBC.

Το αστείο είναι πως ο Παπακωνσταντίνου –ως υπουργός Οικονομικών- ήταν αυτός που παρέλαβε πρώτος τη λίστα Λαγκάρντ. Η Κριστίν Λαγκάρντ – τότε υπουργός Οικονομικών της Γαλλίας- την παρέδωσε στον σωστό άνθρωπο. Πέτυχε διάνα.

Πριν από δυο μήνες, ο Γιώργος Παπακωνσταντίνου είπε στην Επιτροπή Θεσμών και Διαφάνειας της Βουλής πως είχε χάσει τη λίστα Λαγκάρντ.

Ας μην κοροϊδευόμαστε, το θέμα δεν είναι μόνο ο Παπακωνσταντίνου.

Αυτός που κράτησε κρυφή τη λίστα Λαγκάρντ –έναν ολόκληρο χρόνο από την στιγμή που την πήρε στα χέρια του- είναι ο Ευάγγελος Βενιζέλος. Γιατί άραγε;

Και βέβαια, δεν πρέπει να ξεχνάμε πως ο Γιώργος Παπακωνσταντίνου ήταν η προσωπική επιλογή του Γιώργου Παπανδρέου για τη θέση του υπουργού Οικονομικών σε μια εξαιρετικά κρίσιμη περίοδο για τη χώρα μας.

Μετά τον θόρυβο που ξέσπασε με τη δημοσίευση της λίστας Λαγκάρντ στο περιοδικό HOTDOC, η κυβέρνηση αναγκάστηκε να ζητήσει ξανά τη λίστα από το γαλλικό υπουργείο Οικονομικών.

Τώρα καίνε τον Παπακωνσταντίνου, για να σώσουν τον Βενιζέλο.

Εμείς πρέπει να τους κάψουμε και τους δυο.

(Είναι τραγική ειρωνεία πως ο Γιώργος Παπακωνσταντίνου με τον Χρήστο Παπουτσή είχαν επικηρύξει τον Βασίλη Παλαιοκώστα με 1 εκατομμύριο ευρώ. Ο Παλαιοκώστας παραμένει ασύλληπτος. Και ο Παπακωνσταντίνου πρέπει να είναι χαρούμενος που δεν θα τον συναντήσει στη φυλακή.)
